15th UN Crime Congress: Reminder – Submission of Background Information for the Digital Lounge
The Secretariat to the Governing Bodies is pleased to remind Member States that approved participants of the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice are invited to submit publications relevant to the themes of the Congress (e.g. publications, research papers, brochures or statements prepared for other occasions) for inclusion in the Digital Lounge.
The Digital Lounge, accessible through the Congress website and at the Conference Centre, will serve as a digital repository of knowledge products, providing Congress participants with access to relevant resources before and during the Congress. In line with the commitment to sustainability and a paperless approach, materials will be made available exclusively in digital format. No printed publications will be distributed on site.
In response to requests from participants, the Secretariat is pleased to inform delegations that the deadline for submissions has been extended until 15 September 2026.
Submission of Background Information
Participants wishing to have their publications featured in the Digital Lounge are kindly requested to observe the following submission guidelines:
Deadline:
- All background information must be submitted no later than 15 September 2026.
Submission method:
- Publications should be sent by email to the Secretariat’s email address: unodc-sgb@un.org.
Language
- Submissions must be provided in one of the six official languages of the Congress.
Format and size:
- Documents must be submitted in PDF format only.
- Each file must not exceed 5 MB.
- Each entity may provide a maximum of 10 publications.
Thematic areas:
All publications must be clearly designated under one of the four pillars:
- Crime Prevention
- Criminal Justice
- Forms of Crime
- International Cooperation
Please clearly indicate the relevant pillar in the email subject line or in the accompanying message to facilitate accurate categorization.
Stakeholder groups:
Background information may be submitted by the following stakeholder groups:
- Member States
- United Nations entities
- Intergovernmental organizations
- Non-governmental organizations (approved)
- Individual experts (approved)
