United Nations Convention against Corruption Registration Deadlines

Dear NGO Representatives,

We are pleased to inform you that the Ninth Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC/COSP9) will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 13 to 17 December 2021. More information on the participation of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the rules of procedure will follow soon and will be available on the website of UNODC.

Considering the relevance of your organization's work in anti-corruption and in accordance with Rule 17 of the Rules of Procedure for the UNCAC/COSP, governing the participation of NGOs in the Conference, we invite you to express interest in participating by 20 August. The modality is as follows:

  • If your organization does not have consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), please send the following documents to unodc-ngounit@un.org:

    1) A signed application letter on your organization's letterhead;

    2) A completed "Contact Details Form" (see attached document).

    We strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible, even if you have not secured funding for travel. Please note that, in order to allow enough time for the compilation and circulation of the list of NGOs to Member States as required in Rule 17, it will not be possible to extend the deadline further than 20 August.

Thank you in advance for your interest and best regards,
