Survey for the Civil Society Statement for 14th Crime Congress

Dear Colleagues,

The rescheduled 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice will take place from 7 to 12 March 2021 in Kyoto, Japan. Due to the covid-19 situation, civil society is likely to be able to take part in the Congress only remotely.

A civil society statement, which is a tradition of the Congress, will be delivered by the Alliance of NGOs on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (the Alliance) on behalf of all its members and beyond. A slot in the High Level Segment of the meeting has been secured for this important speech.

To be as inclusive as possible, the Alliance is seeking input on key topics to be included in the statement. We understand and appreciate the wide scope of important topics represented by civil society organizations, but it is necessary that the Alliance is able to make an effectively succinct statement that highlights widely agreed upon topics. To that end, we direct your attention to a survey designed to meet this goal and assure that the most important crime prevention and criminal justice issues, including those that may have emerged during the pandemic, are represented in the statement.

The survey, which will take only 5 minutes of your time, is available at this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WBC6PL9

Thank you in advance for participating!

Best wishes,

Philip Reichel, PhD
