Civil Society Survey - Contribute to the preparations for the 15th UN Crime Congress

Dear Members of the Alliance,

The 15th United Nations Crime Congress will be held from 25 to 30 April 2026 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates under the overall theme “Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”, in line with the General Assembly resolution 78/223.

In preparation thereof, the Alliance of NGOs on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in cooperation with the UNODC Civil Society Unit, is launching a global survey as part of a broader consultation process.

We strongly encourage your participation in this survey, designed to gather insights and input from non-governmental stakeholders working on crime prevention and criminal justice. Your contributions will play a crucial role in ensuring meaningful civil society’s involvement in the regional preparatory meetings scheduled between January and April 2025 in preparation for the 15th Crime Congress.

The survey should take about 30 minutes to complete. You will receive questions related to each of the agenda items and workshops included in the 15th Crime Congress Agenda.

We recommend to consult the discussion guide prepared by the UNODC Secretariat prior to responding to the questions. You can respond to the survey in Arabic, English, French, Russian or Spanish.

You can access the survey through the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/JhrpfhH4YY

The first regional preparatory meeting will take place on 21-23 January 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. We ask all non-governmental stakeholders working in Asia and the Pacific region to respond to the survey before 15 December 2024. Stakeholders from other regions are asked to complete the survey one month before the respective regional preparatory meetings.

More information on the timeline of preparations for the 15th Crime Congress can be found here: https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/commissions/CCPCJ/15th-crime-congress.html.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
