International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women must mean that all forms of violence must be NAMED if it is to acknowledged to exist, to then be prevented and eliminated. Non-State torture is a specific form of violence committed predominately by men against women and girls tortured in their homes, when they are victimized and exploited by human traffickers, by pimps, by buyers, by pornographers, and by strangers. Women and girls have the human right not to be subjected to torture as stated in the 1948 United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Linda MacDonald and I support all women and girls so tortured to insist that this must end!
