Informal Dialogue with the Chair of FINGOV, H.E. Mr. José Antonio Zabalgoitia Trejo

The Alliance and UNODC Civil Society Unit are organizing an informal dialogue with the Chair of FINGOV, H.E. Mr. José Antonio Zabalgoitia Trejo, shortly before the 35th session of the CCPCJ, and ahead of the next round of UNTOC Constructive Dialogues and the 13th session of the UNTOC COP in October. The Informal Dialogue will take place in a hybrid format at the Vienna International Centre on 29 May from 9 to 10 am GMT+2.
FINGOV is the standing open-ended intergovernmental working group on improving the governance and financial situation of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, which consists of member states and meets regularly to discuss the financial and administrative situation of the UNODC. In light of the challenging financial situation being faced by the UN, this meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss how the UNODC is responding, with a focus on the crime and justice mandates of the Office. Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance, with relevance to the mandates of the CCPCJ and UNTOC COP, and the impacts of financial restraints on the implementation of those mandates.
